Our Programs
Safe Home®
The Safe Home training program addresses the unique barriers that vulnerable older adults face in accessing the care they need in the state of Washington. Safe Home is the first evidence-based training program to address the needs of sexual and gender diverse minorities, and racial and ethnic minorities. Our skill-based trainings focus on ensuring that staff develop specific and transferable skills that will result in more inclusive care for health disparate, underserved populations.
Innovations in Aging and Multigen Series
Aging and Multigen Lunchtime Series is a bi-weekly, educational forum. The series showcases the latest innovations in aging, focusing on services that ensure culturally relevant care and improve health while building community for students. The series creates a bridge between students, alumni, elders, providers, and faculty.
The Gerontology Social Work Group (the "Gero-Group") is led by undergraduate and graduate social work students committed to research and/or practice with older adults. To subscribe or unsubscribe to the Gero-Group newsletter click here:

Legacy Letters
Legacy Letters offers opportunities for cross-generational bridge-building to help reduce social isolation and loneliness. Through the writing of stories about important life moments, the program enables older adults and other generations to share and connect over diverse experiences, histories, and perspectives.
