Biography:

Dr. Claudio Di Lorito is a Research Fellow in the School of Medicine of the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychiatry from the University of Nottingham, a Master of Science in Mental Health Studies from King’s College, London and two Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, one from Italy and one from City University of New York, USA. His research interests focus on health and social care of LGBTQIA+ communities affected by dementia and sports and exercise in dementia. He is currently collaborating with international researchers and LGBTQIA+ organisations to develop training for staff supporting people living with dementia from the LGBTQIA+ communities. Claudio has an established track record of Patient and Public Involvement in research. He has been awarded the INTERDEM publication prize in 2021 for a methodology paper on PPI in research, and the 2022 Policy and Engagement Award from the University of Nottingham. Claudio is the author of more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. He currently acts as Associate Editor of the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease.
